Builders Capital Exchange, a fast-growing private money lender in the United States, seeks an experienced Special Assets Associate to protect capital and maximize recovery across RTL and construction loans.

You will work with senior leadership, servicing partners, and investors to develop strategic resolutions, including workouts, modifications, foreclosure, or liquidation, while maintaining compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in special assets, credit workouts, or asset management focused on RTL/4–6 unit properties.
• Understanding of workout strategies, foreclosure processes, collateral liquidation, and OREO management.
• Strong GAAP impairment analysis, charge-offs, risk ratings, and accrual accounting.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of non-performing and high-risk RTL and construction loans to minimize losses.
• Oversee special assets through rehabilitation, modifications, foreclosure, or liquidation.
• Develop workout strategies based on borrower capacity and market conditions.
• Perform problem loan analysis and risk assessment for senior management.
• Recommend workout options including modifications, extensions, collateral actions.
• Maintain risk ratings and Problem Loan Reports (PLRs) for all loans.
• Monitor 4-6 unit REO properties including valuations and disposition.
