Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Scientist, Spatial Assays in Seattle to lead the design, validation, and optimization of tissue-based biomarker assays across translational and clinical programs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) preferred with relevant experience.
Experience in tissue-based biomarker assays for translational/clinical studies.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy, design, development, and validation of tissue-based biomarker assays (IHC/ISH/mIF).
Oversee assay transfer to external labs (CROs) and lifecycle management.
Define assay performance criteria and quality control workflows.
Collaborate with translational scientists to align assays with hypotheses and endpoints.
Manage external collaborations, vendor selection, budgets, and timelines.
Develop and implement innovative spatial/digital pathology technologies.
Interpret validation data and communicate findings to teams and governance boards.
Drive cross-functional projects and ensure data quality for decision-making.
Support portfolio-wide standardization and best practices.
