Job summary

Ascendion in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced contract project manager to advance AI research and development within a multi-disciplinary team including researchers, software engineers, and interns.

You will lead program-level activities, coordinate sprint planning, track progress, and ensure documentation and stakeholder reporting, while managing procurement for equipment and vendor services. On-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, (Audio) Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in research project management with a track record of successful project completion.
• Sprint-based project management experience with sprint planning, tracking, and reporting on regular cadence.
• Audio production or technology experience in spatial/binaural audio and signal processing.
• Experience with spatial/binaural audio, audio signal processing, and relevant programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Manage and drive projects to advance research and development according to a delivery plan.
• Monitor progress, identify problems, facilitate resolution, and implement changes to stay on track.
• Regularly report on progress, dependencies and risks to the team and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation of progress and completion of tasks and projects.
• Manage procurement projects for equipment and vendor services.
• Roll up your sleeves and take on operational tasks in support of the team's goals.
