Job summary

The IDB Group in Washington, DC is seeking a talented, analytical, and collaborative Spanish Translator/Reviser to ensure accurate translations across English, French, and Portuguese sources. You will join the Translation and Documentation Section, coordinate with freelance translators, help develop terminology databases and style guides, and mentor junior staff to strengthen linguistic capabilities.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in translation or equivalent advanced degree.
At least 4 years of full-time translation experience; 7 years preferred.
At least 3 years of revising translations.
Native Spanish writing with strong English and knowledge of French and/or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Translate a wide range of documents from English, French, and/or Portuguese into Spanish with high quality and deadlines.
Revise translations prepared by others to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with the Section, freelancers, and staff to manage workload and improve processes.
