Job summary

Bixal is seeking a Spanish Content Translator to support a federally funded information program. This 1099 independent contractor role focuses on translating website content, PDFs, and learning modules, with live interpretation for webinars and events throughout the year.

This 50% allocation position offers flexible hours and the chance to ensure accurate, accessible information for Spanish-speaking audiences across the United States.

Qualifications

• Native or professional-level fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Professional translation or interpretation certification preferred (e.g., ATA).
• Experience with translation management systems (e.g., Lingotek) strongly preferred.
• Live/simultaneous interpretation experience for webinars, conferences, or public events.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality Spanish translations of website content, PDFs, video captions, and learning modules.
• Maintain and improve glossary for consistent terminology and translation quality.
• Provide live simultaneous Spanish interpretation for webinars and webcasts.
• Translate and review Spanish content for emails, social media, and knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with UX researchers and content teams to ensure clarity and cultural relevance.
