University of Florida seeks a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Spanish to teach and coordinate language programs, mentor instructors, and contribute to program development on a full-time, nine-month basis. The start date is August 16, 2027.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Spanish or closely related field (M.A. or M.Ed. will be considered if other qualifications are outstanding)
• Native or native-like fluency in English and Spanish
• Demonstrated excellence as a teacher; experience supervising/coordinating in a college-level language program

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Lower Division Spanish program (occasional Upper Division course) with typical load of three courses per semester
• Coordinate Lower Division Spanish language courses with Undergraduate Coordinator/Lower Division Director and supervise graduate teaching assistants
• Participate in departmental duties: committees, pedagogy training, curriculum development, and supervision of instructors
