Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation in Centennial, CO is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer to lead specification, architecture, and integration of complex space system solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into actionable designs.

You will manage derivation and allocation of requirements, guide milestones, mitigate risks, and ensure verification and validation activities, while promoting systems engineering best practices across the program.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 10+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering principles and practices, including understanding of the SDLC.
• Experience across the lifecycle including requirements management, derivation, and allocation.
• Experience developing systems architecture and performing integration, verification and validation (V&V).
• Ability to work with engineers to drive systems engineering products.

Responsibilities

• Lead specification, architecture, and integration of complex system solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Oversee derivation, decomposition, allocation, tracing and management of system requirements and architectures.
• Define and document system concepts of operation.
• Lead milestone reviews with artifacts and deliverables; oversee system integration and verification activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks; develop mitigation strategies; drive continuous improvement.
