Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Systems Engineer III in Centennial, CO to drive system solutions across the product lifecycle. You will align stakeholders, decompose requirements, and manage system architectures with cross‑functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

You will lead risk identification and mitigation, support milestone reviews, and mentor junior engineers while adhering to engineering processes and standards. A strong background in requirements management and V&V is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Master’s+years considered.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience in systems engineering.
• Knowledge of requirements management, system architecture, and V&V principles.
• Emerging ability to work with engineers to drive systems engineering products.

Responsibilities

• Specify, architect, and integrate complex system solutions with cross‑functional teams.
• Derive, decompose, allocate, trace, and manage system requirements and architectures.
• Support milestone reviews with artifacts and deliverables; oversee integration and verification activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks and contribute to continuous improvement.
