Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Sr. Structural Analysis Engineer to contribute to spacecrafts in earth orbit and deep space missions.

You will perform static, dynamics, and thermal analyses, run FEA with FEMAP/Patran, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure structural integrity. Candidates should have a mechanical/civil engineering degree and 5 years experience; US citizenship or permanent residency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience; master’s degree may count for 2 years.
• US citizen or permanent resident required.
• Knowledge of structural testing and basic structural analysis concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform static, dynamic, and thermal stress analyses.
• Conduct FEM/hand calculations for metal, non-metallic, and composite structures.
• Provide technical input to mechanical designs and support manufacturing issues.
• Develop load cases for on-orbit, launch, and test environments.
• Design and execute structural test programs to validate predictions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and cross-disciplinary teams to solve problems.
• Compile analysis results into technical documentation and present at reviews.
