Job summary

Pixxel is seeking a senior Satellite Operations Engineer to monitor, operate, and maintain mission planning and ground systems in live production environments, including real-time spacecraft monitoring and control from the control room.

You will own the development, validation, and maintenance of flight procedures, lead on‑call coverage, and drive automation, CI/CD, and reliability across our growing fleet.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain mission planning and ground systems in live production environments.
• Lead on‑call and shift coverage, providing senior‑level judgment and escalation support during non‑nominal situations.
• Translate mission requests into executable satellite telecommands and own the telecommand database.
• Architect, develop, and test ground software and automation frameworks for robust space operations.
• Define engineering standards for reliability, CI/CD, and observability across mission‑critical systems.
