Job summary

Pixxel is seeking a Spacecraft Operations and Analysis Engineer to monitor and control spacecraft per mission plans, ensuring zero downtime and safe operations. You will lead on-console operations, develop flight procedures, and drive automation across mission systems to scale a growing satellite constellation.

Qualifications include a bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in spacecraft operations or related software development with Python, scripting, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, computer, software, mechanical) or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of direct experience in spacecraft operations, satellite subsystems, ground systems, or spacecraft command and control.
• 2+ years of direct software development experience (Python or similar), including ground scripting, automation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain mission planning and ground systems in real-time production environments.
• Lead on-call and shift coverage providing senior-level judgment during non-nominal situations.
• Develop, validate, and maintain flight operational procedures and contingencies with configuration control.
