Job summary

Rendezvous Robotics is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Mechanical Engineer in Golden, CO, to own design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems for self-assembling spacecraft. You will guide complex subsystems, mentor juniors, and collaborate with systems, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate flight hardware that withstands launch and on-orbit conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in aerospace or robotics hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics, materials, and structural analysis.
• Experience designing spaceflight hardware—mechanisms, actuators, and structures.

Responsibilities

• Own complex mechanical subsystems from concept through production and on-orbit operation.
• Create detailed CAD models, tolerances, and GD&T for flight hardware.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop test plans and oversee environmental and vibration testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve design standards.
