Job summary

Rendezvous Robotics in Golden, Colorado is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the build floor for mechanical and electrical assemblies, support production, and drive improvements. You will work with MES and PLM systems, create kits, and ensure traceable, repeatable processes on the factory floor.

You will collaborate with design and engineering teams, generate NCRs, manage GSE calibration, and help scale production of space-ready tiles and hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Senior level only: 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with hardware and fabrication methods.
• Experience with PLM and/or MES tools and configuration and data management controls.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technicians and design engineers.
• U.S. person status required.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies, building them into our MES so the floor has clear, current, traceable steps.
• Support production operations day to day, removing blockers and keeping workflow uninterrupted.
• Create spacecraft and tile assembly kits to enable rapid, repeatable production.
• Generate non‑conformance reports (NCRs), support investigations through resolution, and own the execution of dispositions.
• Manage calibration and certification of mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (GSE).
• Provide technical and engineering support to the technician team on the build floor.
• Drive process improvements and corrective actions that increase production efficiency and yield.
• Provide manufacturing expertise to design engineering, contributing to drawings, SOPs, and design‑for‑manufacturability decisions.
