Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer in Redondo Beach, CA, to own the transition from a primary structure weldment to a launch-ready vehicle for Helios. You will coordinate among structures, propulsion, avionics, software, firmware, and test to execute critical system-level tests.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace integration or related manufacturing, with 3+ years in functional testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience integrating, designing, and/or building aerospace or similar manufacturing processes.
• 3+ years of experience with pneumatic, electrical, and/or hydraulic test stands and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle build from assembly start through integration onto the launch vehicle.
• Support integration of propulsion components, tubes, avionics, payloads, sensors, cables and harnessing.
• Develop, execute, and document system-level testing with subsystem owners.
• Coordinate with propulsion, avionics, structures, software and test teams for readiness and issue resolution.
• Plan and drive system integration and activation with technician teams.
• Maintain multidisciplinary schedule to deliver spacecraft on time.
• Provide innovative solutions with high autonomy.
• Communicate with numerous teams across propulsion, avionics, structures, software, test, and manufacturing.
• Identify and resolve build issues across the organization.
