Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking a Spacecraft Integration Technician to perform final assembly, integration & test of flight hardware, from harnesses to mechanical assemblies.

You will work with engineers to document procedures and ensure on-time, safe production in a fast-paced environment; some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Strong reading of drawings and experience with calibrated tooling are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a hands-on team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hardware assembly, test, and/or installation experience.
• Experience reading technical drawings, manuals and reports.
• Experience in ESD-sensitive integration facilities.
• Experience mating/de-mating flight cables and harness.
• Proficient with calibrated tooling (torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Proficient with computers and MES software; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and test flight-ready hardware.
• Use torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
• Read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop procedures.
• Ensure production services are on time and performed safely.
• Perform other related duties to maintain efficient operations.
