Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Launch Integration Engineer to own spacecraft and kick-stage launch processing across multiple sites. You will lead schedules, coordinate payload requirements, and oversee system-level testing with a high degree of autonomy.

The role requires 5+ years of spacecraft launch experience, a degree in engineering, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and travel. Competitive compensation and strong long-term incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, materials or other engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience integrating, designing, launching, and/or building spacecraft/launch vehicles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Build, organize, & manage schedules for integrating multiple payloads onto Helios vehicles.
• Manage payload requirements and work with Integration to implement & verify completion.
• Plan multiple launch campaigns per year across different launch facilities and launch providers.
• Execute critical system-level testing, working directly with subsystem level owners.
• Provide innovative solutions to problems while operating with a high degree of autonomy.
• Work and communicate effectively at a technical level with teams across propulsion, avionics, structures, software, test, and manufacturing.
