Job summary

Varda in El Segundo, California, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Integration) to orchestrate final spacecraft assembly across structures, propulsion, avionics and TPS. You will own integration procedures, develop travelers, and serve as the primary interface between manufacturing and engineering to deliver a flight-ready vehicle on schedule.

This role requires hands-on leadership on the factory floor, excellent cross‑discipline communication, and the ability to resolve interface

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years in vehicle or system-level integration or final assembly.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fluid interfaces on a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Own integration sequences and final vehicle closeout
• Develop and maintain assembly travelers and work instructions
• Interface between manufacturing and engineering disciplines during integration
• Identify and resolve interface conflicts and schedule issues
• Lead integration readiness reviews and ensure pre-integration checks
• Drive root-cause analysis for integration non-conformances
• Track integration metrics and implement cadence improvements
• Define tooling and lifting equipment requirements
