Job summary

Varda is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer in El Segundo, CA to own vehicle integration, test campaigns, and ensure flight readiness. You will interface with all engineering departments and drive solutions that meet conflicting requirements while advancing in-space infrastructure development.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field with 1+ years in systems, integration, or test, hands-on aerospace experience, and ability to work across electrical, mechanical, and software

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, physics, or related field with 1+ years of systems, integration, or test experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a collaborative environment.
• Broad technical breadth across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
• Hands-on experience building aerospace vehicles; must lift 25 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own vehicle integration and test campaigns to validate flight readiness.
• Own vehicle technical and programmatic decisions to ensure vehicle success.
• Create, maintain, and execute build and test procedures.
• Create and maintain build schedules for flight components, ground support equipment, and software readiness.
• Maintain vehicle system budgets and ensure tools output information for all teams.
• Evaluate vehicle change impacts and drive implementation.
• Own avionics systems, schematics, and harness design.
• Operate vehicles in space.
