Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer for the Flight Software team. You will determine spacecraft behavior in orbit and build reliable software to enable safe operation across requirements capture, testing, and flight support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field with safety-critical software focus.
5+ years in spacecraft or safety-critical software development.
Experience with real-time embedded hardware/software systems.
Proficiency in C++ and core language concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop reliable firmware to control spacecraft, bus, and reentry capsule operations.
Own all aspects of software development from design to integration and testing.
Scope projects with requirements capture and early design trades.
Write quality bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux based software for embedded processors in C++.
Build reliable software systems with high availability.
Ensure quality through software test, verification, and validation techniques.
