Job summary

Apex Space, Inc. is seeking an experienced Space Simulation Test Engineer to design, implement, and manage environmental test procedures for spacecraft and components.

You will drive qualification and production testing, ensuring reliability under dynamic and climatic conditions. Responsibilities include developing test plans, configuring equipment like shakers and thermal chambers, and producing thorough data-driven reports.

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. Persons status for export-controlled data access.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of environmental testing in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of MIL-STD-461, GSFC-STD-7000, SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810.
• Experience operating environmental testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage environmental test plans and requirements (vibration, shock, thermal cycling/TVAC, EMI/EMC, pneumatic).
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot environmental test equipment (vibration shakers, thermal chambers).
• Analyze test data, generate comprehensive test reports, and interpret results.
