Job summary

E-Space (California onsite) is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Engineer to own electrical, optical and sensing harness/interconnect products for a space-based antenna application. This is a hands-on role from design through flight qualification.

You will drive harness design, define requirements, and oversee supplier evaluation and integration, ensuring robust performance in flight environments across the lifecycle of the satellite system.

Qualifications

• Own the design and selection of spacecraft wiring harnesses.
• Integrate antenna sensors and interfaces.
• Define harness requirements and drive component selection.
• Qualification for flight environment.
• Develop routing and integration for spacecraft structure.
• Create harness drawings, wire lists, interface documentation.
• Support assembly, integration, and test and resolve anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and selection of the spacecraft’s wiring harness — electrical wiring, optical fiber, connectors, and interconnects.
• Own antenna specific sensors and their integration, routing, and signal interfaces.
• Define harness and connector requirements and drive component selection and supplier evaluation.
• Take harness, connectors, and fiber through qualification for the flight environment.
• Develop routing, strain-relief, and integration approaches compatible with a spacecraft structure.
• Create harness drawings, wire lists, and interface documentation.
• Support assembly, integration, and test, and resolve harness-related anomalies throughout the entire product lifecycle.
