Job summary

E-Space is seeking an experienced Electrical/Interconnect designer to lead end-to-end design of spacecraft connectors, cables, and interconnects for a LEO constellation. You will own supplier coordination, qualification, and manufacturing transition, ensuring space-grade reliability and cost targets.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in interconnect/harness design, and hands-on experience with space environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in interconnect, harness, or electro-mechanical design with spaceflight experience.
• Hands-on experience with connector selection and qualification for space environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and qualify custom and COTS connectors for spacecraft applications, including board-to-board, coax, high-speed, and fiber interfaces.
• End-to-end ownership of cable and harness design, including wire gauge selection, shielding, and routing.
• Develop and maintain Electrical Interface Control Documents (EICD) and drive interconnect lists across spacecraft bus.
• Manage vendor relationships for connectors, cables, and interconnect components across domestic and international suppliers.
