The Exploration Company is seeking an experienced Senior Composite Engineer to support development, verification, and qualification of primary and secondary composite structures for space applications. You will lead design, concept definition, and trade-offs to optimize reliability, mass, manufacturability, schedule and cost.

The successful candidate has 8+ years in structural analysis of aerospace composites, strong materials knowledge, and proficiency in FEA tools.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural analysis of aerospace composite structures.
• Proven design, verification and qualification experience for composite structures.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes and damage tolerance.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development, verification and qualification of composite hardware for space applications.
• Define structural concepts and perform trade-offs for reliability, mass, manufacturability, schedule and cost.
• Develop specifications covering materials, processes, inspection and verification.
• Support material selection, laminate architectures and interfaces.
• Identify critical failure modes and implement mitigations.
• Oversee supplier activities and technical oversight of build-to-print/spec hardware.
• Review supplier analyses, documentation, test reports and non-conformances.
• Support anomaly investigations and corrective actions.
• Interface with systems engineering, manufacturing, AIT, quality, procurement and program teams.
• Present technical recommendations and justifications at reviews and decision boards.
• Contribute to robust, manufacturable and flightworthy structural solutions.
