Job summary

REGENT seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to own composite structural analyses and support flight-capable seagliders from prototype to production. You will drive sizing, margins, and trade studies while collaborating with loads, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure safety, performance, and schedule adherence.

You’ll develop models and documentation to enable repeatable engineering decisions and contribute to improving team execution through robust procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in composite structures analysis and laminate theory.
• Strong FEM experience (static, buckling, modal, fatigue) with composite failure modes understanding.
• Experience managing global vehicle FEM models and related workflows.
• Understanding of certification-oriented analysis and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute composite structural analysis for flight-capable hardware across key load cases (static, buckling, modal, fatigue).
• Own margins and substantiation for primary and secondary structure; drive weight-efficient solutions.
• Deliver high-impact analyses supporting major milestones.
• Develop and maintain analysis models, assumptions, and documentation for repeatable engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with loads, manufacturing, and certification stakeholders to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Contribute to improving team execution by refining procedures and templates.
