Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in system design, test planning, and validation.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with avionics, HITL, and space-grade hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scopes from concept to production.
• Develop electrical architecture, system diagrams, and budgets for power, telemetry, channel count, size, and mass.
• Analyze architecture for potential faults and risks, develop mitigation plans, and support FDIR or workarounds when hardware is unfeasible.
• Conduct comprehensive verification plans for avionics systems on flight and HITL hardware.
• Participate in mission operations as an Avionics specialist or system operator.
• Oversee the integration of the Winnebago avionics systems as primary contact for investigations.
• Design, build, and operate HITL testbeds to simulate the spacecraft on the ground.
• Develop avionics ground infrastructure and automate tests; contribute to engineering best practices.
