Job summary

SAIC's Horizon 2 program seeks a Test and Evaluation Engineer to support a new reconnaissance satellite system for the US Space Force in El Segundo, CA. You will develop, manage, and execute test strategies across satellite, payload, and control segments while coordinating with program managers and engineers.

Key responsibilities include creating spacecraft test plans, overseeing contractor tests, and ensuring compliance with DoD and NASA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with test instrumentation and/or methods.
• Experience in a test laboratory environment.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
• Experience conducting verification, test, and data analysis.
• Must have TS or SSBI security clearance and SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop spacecraft test plans and qualification procedures.
• Provide SE&I support for programs like SBIRS and Weather Enterprise.
• Witness and oversee contractor test events and qualification tests.
• Assess baseline changes for impacts on test activities and deficiencies.
• Recommend and secure test equipment, instrumentation, and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate test logs and deliver comprehensive test reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and validate test requirements.
