Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Engineering Operations Lead to serve as the operational backbone of the MK2 Crew Systems product team in Colorado. You will own the Rhythm of Business, manage the IMS, budgets, and DAC planning, and coordinate cross-functional efforts with NASA partners to ensure on-time, safe, and efficient crew systems delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 8+ years in program operations, engineering operations, or technical project management in aerospace or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience owning an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) including baselining and cross-program schedule integration.
  • Demonstrated Jira experience.
  • Proven ability to own and improve complex, cross-functional processes with minimal direction.
  • Experience leading or co-leading formal engineering reviews and managing related artifacts.
  • Experience with program budget/EAC tracking and WBS/schedule integration.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and run the Crew Systems Rhythm of Business with daily/weekly updates.
  • Own and drive the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and baseline maintenance.
  • Own product team budget tracking and support EAC inputs with Finance.
  • Coordinate efforts across engineering, planning, supply chain, manufacturing, and NASA partners.
  • Own quarterly DAC planning and coordinate readiness for major reviews.
  • Lead planning for major reviews and prepare review expectations memos.
  • Support and train Responsible Engineers in managing schedule, budget, and DAC execution.
