The SSC Space Systems Command seeks a Sr Space Systems Engineer SME - Sensor Development with deep experience in space system architecture, requirements development, and end-to-end integration for defense programs.

Qualifications

• MA/MS with over 10 years of space systems experience.
• Expert in space system development and operations.
• Expert in maturing space system technologies through all TRL levels.
• Expert in space system signature measurements, predictions, and sensor development.
• Expert in classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts, development, build, and test).
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end space system architecture design aligned with SSC missions.
• Develop and validate requirements across space, ground, and comms segments.
• Guide integration and test planning across multi-domain components.
• Conduct trade studies to inform design decisions and tech insertion.
• Coordinate with government, contractor, and mission partner teams.
