Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified Systems Engineer L4 to lead and support a cohesive engineering team in design, development, and implementation of space systems. This role manages design, production, and testing while ensuring security and efficiency to meet project requirements.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in systems engineering or space system acquisition, strong risk management, and proven program leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related.
• 15+ years of systems engineering or space-systems experience.
• DoD/space program experience and program management skills.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain higher clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and testing of space systems.
• Define requirements and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
• Develop system and test plans with user community input.
• Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.
• Provide analyses to optimize performance and life-cycle costs.
• Support cost, schedule, risk tracking, and program execution.
• Produce reports, proposals, and executive briefings for leadership.
• Drive cross-domain integration across air, space, and cyberspace.
