Job summary

Astrion seeks a Senior Systems Engineer/Integration SME to support Space Force SSIO projects in El Segundo, CA. The role demands deep systems engineering and integration expertise across space operations, ground systems, and data transport, with a TS/SCI clearance and ability to lead complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include architecture, strategy, and cross-enterprise integration to enable mission resilience and rapid modernization decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, mathematics or related technical field.
• 20 years of industry, federal government experience, or SETA/FFRDC supporting federal government acquisition.
• Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI level clearance.
• Degree in a technical field related to space operations, ground systems, space domain awareness, data, data transport, communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise to space strategy, architecture, and hardware design for Enterprise resilience and space sensing technology integration.
• Develop, analyze and assess integration strategy for protect and defend mission in support of the Increment Technical Teams.
• Evaluate future space systems and families of systems at cross-enterprise level and align solutions to warfighter needs.
• Provide cross-enterprise architecting analysis and enterprise level integration for rapid decision support.
• Create and synchronize policy and digital engineering framework to support Space Systems Command missions.
• Provide support to the Technical Agents for Command and Control, Ground Systems, and/or Data Transport.
• Support Project Lead(s) in planning, execution, management, reporting, and completion of projects.
• Develop and maintain foundational project documentation (charter, problem definition, project plan).
• Maintain project management and reporting tools including schedule, OKR tracking, and PMR charts.
• Develop project technical documents including SE artifacts, communications, and briefings.
