Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Enterprise Ground Systems Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. You will manage integrations and develop requirements for space superiority programs, working full-time on-site at our El Segundo facility.

The role emphasizes interdisciplinary technical leadership, collaboration with government customers, and advancing systems engineering practices across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics, or engineering.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible professional experience leading to some level of technical and/or systems engineering program management.
• Broad technical background and program experience; end-to-end concept to final delivery is a plus.
• Experience with system trade studies, enterprise system requirements development and allocation, hardware integration, test planning and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with government customers and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically, approximately once every other month.

Responsibilities

• Provide interdisciplinary technical leadership to Integration Teams supporting Space superiority efforts.
• Develop enterprise requirements with customer and contractor teams and plan tests.
• Guide customer and contractor teams on systems engineering practices and model-based activities.
• Perform technical assessments, identify gaps, risks and issues.
