Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior System Engineer to drive architecture, requirements, and integration for government and international customers. You will lead design, verification, and validation of space and ground subsystems with a cross-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires extensive hands-on space systems experience, lab testing, and close collaboration with program management to ensure mission success and compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent.
• 8+ years in space systems engineering with budgets and verification processes.
• 8+ years in spacecraft systems engineering and integration.
• 8+ years deriving requirements from system level down.
• 8+ years budgeting system performance (power, mass, pointing, links).
• 5+ years using standard test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead space segment systems engineering, from concept to verification.
• Collaborate with program and product leadership for program execution.
• Apply interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, and verify space segment products.
• Develop integrated satellite system designs and solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure system execution.
• Participate in software-to-hardware integration and tests pre/post-launch.
