Job summary

Rincon Research Corporation (RRC) is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to join the systems engineering team on an end-to-end development program for space domain missions. You will help define architecture, manage requirements, and lead SRR/PDR/CDR activities across lifecycle phases from design to deployment.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and 7+ years of experience in systems engineering for space systems.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
US citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Systems Engineering, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related).
7+ years of progressive systems engineering experience with success delivering complex systems.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (CAMEO).
Proven track record leading SRR, PDR, and CDR for complex systems.
Demonstrated experience taking a space system from concept through integration, test, and verification.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the overall system architecture across subsystems and mission phases.
Balance performance, risk, cost, schedule, and margin in system-level decisions.
Resolve cross-discipline technical issues and elevate risks to leadership.
Participate in system requirements definition, allocation, traceability, and change control.
Establish system-level verification and validation strategies aligned with objectives.
Maintain system risks, margins, and mitigation plans.
Join technical reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR.
Oversee system integration, test, and verification activities.
