Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Sr Analyst Space Planning to partner with Merchandising in space planning, analytics, and planograms. You will drive sales and optimize assortments through data-driven insights and collaboration with space analysts, store planning, and project managers.

Responsibilities include designing planograms, analyzing space productivity and turns, and leading cross-functional discussions to improve profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience with JDA Intactix space management suite including Space Planning, CKB, Planogram Generator, Space Automation.
• Experience working in the retail industry.
• Experience analyzing large amounts of data.

Responsibilities

• 40% Execution: Design and build planograms, incorporating merchandising strategy, visual merchandising standards and best practices, merchandising safety standards and analyze planograms to optimize sales, profitability and inventory productivity
• 35% Analysis: Leverage systems to analyze and develop recommendations around key merchandising factors (e.g., space productivity, pricing, inventory turns, margin rates, promotional activity, product trending)
• 10% Collaboration: Attend weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to participate in business discussions and provide space planning expertise, contributing to strategic merchandising plans for the business
• 10% Problem Solving: Work on behalf of merchant to identify, quantify, and communicate assortment opportunities; helps develop seasonal transition targets and strategies, if applicable
• 5% Assessment: Works on various product tests within respective category, including inventory monitoring, in-store execution, visual merchandising, and analyzing results.
