Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks a Mission Planner SME to develop and execute orbital mission plans for optical surveillance. You translate HQ tasking into actionable operations, ensuring crew readiness and mission success in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, high security clearance, and strict adherence to regulatory requirements, with remote desert work conditions and 24/7 readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/space operations experience.
• 5+ years of experience in space operations, mission planning or related area.
• Ability to perform operational reporting and support crew coordination.
• Hands-on familiarity with space domain awareness tools and processes.
• Top Secret/ SCI Clearance required.
• Ability to pass background checks and adapt to client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Convert directives into executable mission plans including SOI, maneuvers, launches and cislunar tasks.
• Monitor priorities, weather, sensor status and adjust plans to optimize performance.
• Maintain mission logs, planning products, and coordination documentation.
• Collaborate with crews, maintenance and system admins for seamless execution.
• Provide direct onsite support and avoid routine Sensor Operator duties.
• Serve as a non-CBA Mission Planner with cross-training for coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
