Job summary

Orbit Fab is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer for the design, analysis, and optimization of complex spaceflight mechanisms. You will own end-to-end responsibilities from concept to production and operation, with hands-on hardware and prototyping in a hybrid Lafayette, CO environment.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, design documentation, system coordination with Systems Engineering, and driving product delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanism or robotics design, fabrication, and/or test.
• Proficiency in CAD and space-rated materials knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own design and analysis of space mechanisms from concept to production.
• Prototype solutions and develop detailed CAD models and drawings.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering for integration with electrical and fluid subsystems.
