Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior program manager to lead large-scale manufacturing and hardware operations programs. You will drive schedules, budgets, and CapEx optimization while coordinating with engineering, supply chain, and facilities teams to activate new production lines.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in technical program management, strong cross-functional leadership, and a proven ability to deliver multi-million dollar projects on time.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering, business management, or similar.
• 8+ years of experience in technical program/project management or related manufacturing/ hardware operations.
• Proven track record managing complex cross-functional hardware development or manufacturing automation projects.
• Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and vendor relationships for custom capital equipment.
• Excellent communication skills with executives; able to present roadmaps and risk postures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules.
• Lead cross-functional teams to procure, install, and activate capital equipment.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure on-time factory activation.
• Develop tools/processes to improve engineering efficiency.
• Establish and report KPIs for factory readiness and equipment throughput.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks across engineering and operations.
• Manage CapEx tracking and optimization for multi-million dollar projects.
• Support New Product Introduction gates, transitioning prototypes to high-rate manufacturing.
• Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and EHS for facility readiness.
