Job summary

Space Systems Command in Los Angeles, CA seeks a senior attorney to support the Staff Judge Advocate, providing legal advice and counsel on complex administrative, environmental, contract, labor, international, and operations law to the Space Base Delta 3 Commander and all units at Los Angeles Air Force Base.

The successful candidate will have an ABA-approved law degree, active bar status, and more than three years of experience; transcripts required; government service preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have JD or LLB from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission active in a U.S. State, DC, or territory, verified within 4 months of application.
• Transcripts must be submitted with application.
• GS-14 or GS-15 level legal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to Space Base Delta 3 Commander and units on Los Angeles AFB.
• Prepare legal opinions and representations of DAF interests in complex cases.
• Advise on administrative, environmental, contract, labor, international, and operations law.
