The position requires ABA-accredited JD or LLB, and active bar status in the highest state court (or DC) with transcripts submitted.

- Requires ABA-accredited JD or LLB.
- Active bar status in the highest court of a State, DC, or US territory, dated within 4 months.
- Graduate of ABA-accredited law school.
- GS-14/GS-15 level with over three years of professional legal experience related to duties.
