Job summary

Lunar Outpost Inc. is seeking a Lead Harnessing Engineer to own EWIS architecture and integration for our lunar vehicle and spaceflight programs.

You will lead harnessing design across flight systems, prototypes, and ground support equipment, ensuring safe, reliable interconnect solutions for human-rated and robotic missions. This on-site role in a fast-paced startup environment requires collaboration with mechanical engineering, adherence to NASA and aerospace standards, and mentorship of

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or aerospace engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in electrical harnessing or related aerospace electrical design.
• Experience leading harness design for complex aerospace or spaceflight systems.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage or high-power harnessing (>120VDC).
• Direct experience with NASA programs, payloads, or flight hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead harnessing architecture, design, and integration across vehicle and subsystem levels.
• Own end-to-end wiring interconnect development: requirements, schematics, harness layouts, drawings, analyses, as-built configurations.
• Define architectures for HV/HPC and signaling in spaceflight and lunar environments.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on routing, packaging, and integration.
• Review harness drawings, wire lists, and installation documentation.
• Interface with NASA customers, partners, suppliers, and internal IPTs.
