Telemetry Today LLC in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Space Embedded Software Engineer to shape flight software behavior and reliability for spacecraft. You’ll own end-to-end firmware development, from requirements to testing and flight operations, across bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments.

The role requires 5+ years in safety-critical software and strong C++ skills, with the opportunity to impact space infrastructure and reentry capsules from design through validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
• 5+ years in development of spacecraft or safety-critical software.
• Experience with real-time embedded hardware/software systems.
• Proficiency in C++, language concepts understood.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable firmware to control spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule over the mission.
• Own all aspects of software development from design to integration.
• Scope projects with requirements capture and design trades.
• Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++.
• Build highly reliable software systems and verify through V&V.
