Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead planning, execution, and documentation of functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing for complex hardware and systems. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure verification and production readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of test engineering experience and proficiency with LabVIEW, MATLAB, NI TestStand, and standard lab instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5–8 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing methodologies.
• Experience developing test procedures, verification plans, instrumentation strategies, and automated test solutions.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, automated test equipment, and laboratory instrumentation.
• Understanding of configuration management, ESD controls, verification methodologies, and AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience evaluating complex test data and supporting engineering decisions.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, MATLAB, NI TestStand, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop test procedures, verification plans, instrumentation strategies, and automated test configurations.
• Lead test planning by evaluating hardware configurations, software baselines, and instrumentation needs.
• Determine test methods, success criteria, and verification approaches.
• Lead functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing while directing test execution.
• Evaluate test data, identify failure trends, and perform root cause investigations.
• Validate corrective actions through repeat testing and verification.
• Lead coordination with cross-functional teams to resolve verification issues.
• Develop test reports, verification records, and discrepancy documentation.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and failure analyses.
• Manage laboratory equipment, instrumentation, automated test systems, and calibration.
• Evaluate quality requirements and recommend process improvements.
• Develop improvements to test methodologies and laboratory operations.
