Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead planning, execution, analysis, and documentation of functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing for hardware and integrated systems. You will drive complex test activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure performance meets engineering, customer, and contractual requirements.

This role collaborates with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support verification,

Qualifications

• BS in electrical/related field with 5–8 years in test/verification
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, qualification, and acceptance testing
• Experience developing test procedures, verification plans, and automation
• Proficiency with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs)
• Understanding of configuration management, ESD controls, FOD, and AS9100 quality
• Experience analyzing test data and recommending engineering actions
• Proficiency with Office suite and collaboration tools
• LabVIEW/MATLAB/NI TestStand or equivalents

Responsibilities

• Develop test procedures, plans, instrumentation strategies, and automated test configurations
• Lead test planning across hardware/software baselines and facilities
• Determine test methods and success criteria aligned with requirements
• Lead functional/integration/qualification/acceptance testing and analyze results
• Evaluate data, identify failure trends, and perform root-cause investigations
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve verification issues
• Create test reports, verification records, and discrepancy documentation
• Conduct Test Readiness Reviews and failure analyses with corrective actions
• Manage lab equipment, automation, and calibration activities
• Adhere to AS9100 quality standards and process improvements
