Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electronics Test Engineer in Westminster, CO to design, analyze, and implement test plans for board-level electronics, including power, digital, and RF systems. You will develop software for interfacing with flight hardware and test equipment, and enable efficient automated testing across campaigns.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of test experience, hands-on lab-instrument skills, and proficiency in Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or

Qualifications

• A BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry or university experience in design, analysis, and implementation of electronic products and/or test systems.
• Experience designing and executing test plans for board-level electronics.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF generators, and VSAs.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing test architectures and test systems, including equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging methodology, and interfaces.
• Designing and executing tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages.
• Developing test requirements for new products.
• Designing tests for standards compliance such as NASA GEVS.
• Planning and executing board-level verification tests, including high-speed signal integrity and temperature performance.
• Designing and developing systems for testing complex hardware and software, such as phased array products.
• Advising design engineering on design-for-testability (DFT).
• Evaluating and documenting test results and presenting to stakeholders.
• Contributing to lab buildout and lab management.
• Training technicians and operators to perform tests.
