Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to connect flight software data with ground operations, shaping cyber architecture for the Blue Ring satellites. You will work with spacecraft development, spaceflight operations, and test engineering to ensure a secure, scalable cyber solution.

Responsibilities include risk-based assessments, documentation, and collaboration to maintain compliance with CNSSP-12, NCSDMO-8, CNSSI standards and NIST 800-53.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certification in cybersecurity, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with space systems cyber standards including CNSSP-12, NCSDMO-8, CNSSI-4003, CNSSI-4005 and NIST 800-53.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and configure network topologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols).
• Use metrics to measure cybersecurity effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Assess compliance with monitoring technologies and audits; identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Document space vehicle network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support audits with documentation and evidence of compliance.
• Maintain policies aligned with security frameworks, regulations and internal standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments across in-space systems, analyze impact and likelihood.
