Job summary

Stanford University’s Office of Research Administration, in the CMA team at Redwood City, seeks a Senior Space Analyst to develop space base, depreciation, lease costs, and land improvement costs for IDC proposals to the federal government.

The role manages the University Space Inventory for on- and off-campus buildings, uses CRIS for cost pools, trains 300+ space coordinators, and collaborates with PIs, auditors, and ONR negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop space base, depreciation, lease costs and land improvements for IDC proposals.
• Manage University Space Inventory for on- and off-campus buildings, ensuring compliance with Space Inventory Instructions and space mapping guidelines.
• Use CRIS to develop cost pools and allocate costs for indirect cost proposals.
• Create and maintain training materials; train 300+ departmental space coordinators on process requirements and cost implications of functional code usage.
• Serve as owner/administrator of the PI Lab Usage System (ePLUS); collaborate with PIs to identify laboratory space used for research in indirect cost studies.
• Coordinate annual capital building assessments for depreciation and land improvements with multiple departments and external assessors.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support cost justification; communicate findings to inform management decisions and support audit negotiations with ONR.
