Job summary

SAIC in Lorton, VA, seeks a Senior Contracts Support Specialist to partner with Government leadership on acquisition, contract administration, and compliance for the Inner Harbor contract. This on-site role covers planning through closeout and requires independent judgment in a fast-paced federal environment.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of DoD/IC contracting, TS/SCI clearance, and deep FAR/DFARS knowledge, with space launch contract experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of government contracting experience.
• Experience with Intelligence Community or DoD contracting.
• Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS and EPX Studio.
• Space Launch contracting experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholders.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Prior SAP experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Function as trusted acquisition advisor to Government and Program staff.
• Lead preparation of complete contract packages including requirements validation, funding coordination, and strategy alignment.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain pre-award documents (Acquisition Plans, Justification & Approvals, Source Selection Plans, RFPs).
• Support execution of contract awards and modifications, ensuring clauses, pricing, schedules, and deliverables.
• Conduct cost/price analyses, evaluate proposals, and participate in negotiation discussions.
• Oversee post award contract administration including invoice review and performance compliance.
• Interface with program management, budget, technical teams, and legal for compliant execution.
• Monitor changes in acquisition policy to ensure FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Develop and present reports, status briefings, and decision packages to senior leadership.
• Oversee project cost control activities, including actual cost analysis and variance reporting.
