Job summary

LV8D Solutions is seeking a Space Communication Systems Engineer to support and lead space capability studies and IPTs. The role requires satellite experience and the ability to provide technical and programmatic insight on space communication system capabilities.

The candidate will work independently and in a dynamic team-based environment, coordinating with government leads and subject matter experts to ensure mission success and effective architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with communication systems.
• Knowledge of national space systems, communication networks, and ground processing networks.
• Understanding of space communication system providers and satellite systems.
• Strong systems engineering, program management, and configuration management skills.
• Experience leading high-performance technical teams and multi-tasking across tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work with Government leads and subject matter experts in an interactive team environment.
• Participate in external forums, program offices, IPTs, and boards.
• Assess performance and modeling results; identify risks to plans and schedules; support acquisition planning.
• Assist with design trade studies; evaluate architectures to meet required performance."
• Coordinate across Government teams to research, gather, and capture architecture and system requirements.
• Assist in managing requirements development, flow-down, and traceability.
• Support acquisition planning activities and document preparation for Government review and approval.
