Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design of phased array antennas, subsystems, and interfaces through all development stages. You will perform architecture trades, analyses, and packaging for space hardware, and ensure design robustness for spaceflight.

You will present design reviews to customers and executives, contribute to proposals, and collaborate across a dynamic startup team with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 5+ years of space antenna/mechanical engineering experience preferred (thermal, shock, vibration, etc.).
• Experience with architectural trade studies and cost/physical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of phased array antennas, subsystems, and interfaces through all development phases.
• Perform architecture trades, analyses, and packaging for space hardware.
• Create and present design reviews to customers and executive leadership; support proposal writing.
