Job summary

Alliance Hospitality Group is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our upscale casual restaurant team in Los Angeles. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to support daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality, and ensure execution that meets brand standards.

You’ll lead hands-on culinary prep, train hourly staff, assist with openings and events, and help manage inventory, scheduling, and vendor relationships while upholding safety and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sous Chef or comparable culinary leadership experience in an upscale casual restaurant.
• 5+ years of professional cooking experience with strong technical and knife skills.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily kitchen operations with the Executive Chef and General Manager.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution.
• Hands-on cooking and service; assist with openings and events as needed.
• Follow schedules, par levels, prep lists, order guides, and opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and kitchen organization; train and coach hourly staff.
• Support private dining, events, and vendor relationships while upholding safety standards.
